The Sea Serpent Once More.
Halifax, Sept. 1 – A monstrous sea serpent
measuring from seventy to one hundred
feet in length with a body as large
around as a barrel and a head about
the size of a cask was seen off Weriginish
coast by a boat’s crew out on a mackerel
fishing excursion recently. The men were 100
yards from the serpent and saw it plainly. As
it moved along it made waves like a steamer.
Thirty feet of its tail were exposed when it
dove, so that its character as a serpent is
regarded as established.
